I have a love-hate relationship with fruit. I love it when it’s sweet and juicy, hate it when it isn’t. I love eating it, but hate cutting and washing it. Enter Fruitful Day: these folks have changed my life- and no, this is not a sponsored post. I genuinely love their service and am taking the time out to extend some support to fruitfulday.com .
What’s great about Fruitful Day is that almost ALL the fruit comes pre-washed with baking soda, and whatever isn’t washed (usually the berries), are clearly labeled as unwashed. If that isn’t good enough though, all the fruit that’s usually an enormous pain to cut (read: all the melons), come precut, in neat cubes and individually boxed.
I ordered the Discovery Box in the smallest size, and it was enough fruit to last me and my husband a good week -considering that we are busy eating a lot of other things too. If this box were sent to my parents though -who are major fruit lovers- they would have eaten through the entire box in 4 days max, simply because of how delicious and tempting it was.
My idea of optimizing the utilization of anything edible or pretty to look at, is to turn it into a picture worthy of the 45 minutes of tip-toe squats a perfect flat-lay solicits. My Discovery Box of Fruitful Day ticked both the boxes, and I didn’t just want to make a fruit platter, so I rummaged through my fridge for ingredients that I could turn into a dip that I could incorporate fresh orange juice in, and whipped up an orange creamsicle dip!
