Carnival By Tresind Friday Brunch

August 24, 2019 , Haiya

I recently wrote about the Friday Brunch at B.B Social Dining at DIFC and how much I absolutely loved it, sure that there can’t possibly be a brunch that beats it on value for money, but lo and behold, then I went for brunch to another one of my all-time-favorite restaurants, and had the Friday Brunch at Carnival by Tresind, which is easily the best bang for buck. The only condition is that you must love Indian food- which is one that’s met very, very easily when it’s not just Indian but some of the best Indian food in Dubai!

It’s always hard for me to pick a favorite between Tresind, Tresind Studio and Carnival by Tresind, which is quite something considering that they’re all spearheaded by the same culinary mastermind, yet they all have such different (but equally solid) menus.Carnival By Tresind is easily the most fun and whimsical one of the lot.

Indian inspired Som Tam salad with crispy fried shrimp.

The Carnival By Tresind Friday brunch starts at only AED 189, is mostly an ala carte brunch – meaning you don’t need to shuffle back and forth from the table with plates piled high with food for anything other than the breads- and you can ask for encores of any and as many of your favorite dishes!

Here is some of what you can expect from the Carnival By Tresind Friday Brunch:

An entire buffet table of Indian breads, including the corn bread, lavash, focaccia and the best: bar bhaji.

The ‘momo-fuku’ dumplings with the most perfectly thin skin and assorted but equally delicious fillings

Shredded raan (spiced, slow-cooked leg of lamb) on baby pitas, plated table-side

Podi idli: pan-tossed idi in a sambar and podi masala

Akuri: masala scrambled egg in a crispy potato shoestring basket

Bone marrow

Beef Seekh kababs skewered on a sugarcane stalk

The quintessential Carnival By Tresind sorbet palate cleanser, this time strawberry and guava flavored.

Fish tagging curry with preserved lemon with kalamata olives.

chicken chorizo biryani- an absolute winner

and for dessert: an Indian-inspired pastry trolley.
