As if I wasn’t enough of a Fortnum & Mason junkie, my love affair with the brand has progressed to the next level. Why, you may ask? First of all, I doubt anyone who knows me would ask me that. But for those of you who don’t know me too well, I have two words for you: Iced Tea.
I’ve been emptying my pockets at F&M as it is, but it was always to elevate my own teatimes. Be it morning, afternoon, evening or night; (those are the broad categories of times of day when I usually consume tea), I always have my tea warm, and like it that way.
My husband, on the other hand, loves iced tea. I cannot stress enough on how much so. SO, on the recommendation of one of F&M’s Instagram posts, I decided to brew some iced tea using F&M’s Afternoon Blend.
Result: It turned out to be one of the best iced teas my husband and I have ever had! Looks like this summer’s got a new drink on the horizon (of my coffee table), and I’ll be going into credit card debt in the name of tea.
Heres the Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 liter water
- 2 teaspoons F&M Afternoon Blend
- 5 frozen raspberries
- Sweetener (I used Acacia honey)
Method:
- Boil the water in a kettle.
- Put 2 teaspoons of the loose tea leaves into a jug. Pour boiling water on top. Let it cool down to room temperature.
- Add the frozen raspberries to the cooled down tea, and refrigerate for a few hours.
- Pour cold tea into glass containing ice. Add a few more frozen raspberries.
And yeah, that’s about it!

Btw if you want something to freeze faster you can wet a paper towel/tissue and cover the glass (horizontally) and put it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes, should be ice cold (works better on warm items).
Yes that’s a great tip Eman! Thanks so much! However, I deliberately want it to take it’s time cooling, to let the tea really diffuse into the water.
Ahh makes sense, I’m usually super impatient
